American Airlines has introduced nonstop service connecting Dallas with Rio de Janeiro to align with an upcoming National Football League contest. The airline announced the addition of these routes in a press release, aiming to facilitate travel for fans attending the event.
The Cowboys are scheduled to face the Baltimore Ravens on Sept. 27 in Rio de Janeiro. This matchup represents the first regular-season NFL game to be held in Brazil, following two previous contests played in São Paulo. For the Dallas team, this will be their second international regular-season appearance, with their prior overseas game taking place in London in 2014 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Travelers can depart from DFW International Airport on Sept. 25 and return to North Texas on Sept. 28. Flight 937 is scheduled to leave Dallas at 8:15 p.m. on Sept. 25, arriving in Rio de Janeiro around 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 26.
The return leg, Flight 936, will depart Rio de Janeiro at 10 a.m. on Sept. 28, with an estimated arrival time in North Texas of 6:30 p.m. the same day.
