Inside High School Sports published updated rankings for North Texas high school football programs on September 21, reflecting results from the week of Sept. 17-19. The list covers multiple classification divisions across the region.
In the 6A division, Allen leads the pack with a perfect 4-0 record. It is followed by North Crowley and Waxahachie, who also remain undefeated at 4-0. Denton Guyer sits in fourth place with a 2-1 mark, while Coppell holds fifth at 3-1. Lewisville rounds out the top six with a 3-0 record.
Further down the 6A list, Duncanville is ranked eighth at 1-3, and Southlake Carroll is ninth at 2-2. Prosper appears twice in the rankings; the main program is tenth at 3-1, while Prosper Walnut Grove is twelfth at 4-0. Aledo is eleventh at 2-2, and Longview is thirteenth at 3-1.
Other notable entries in the top tier include Keller Central at fourteenth (3-1), Rockwall fifteenth (3-1), Arlington Martin sixteenth (4-0), and Mansfield Lake Ridge seventeenth (2-2). Byron Nelson is eighteenth at 2-2, Sachse nineteenth at 4-0, and Keller twentieth at 4-0.
Wylie is twenty-first at 3-1, Rockwall-Heath twenty-second at 2-2, Hebron twenty-third at 1-2, North Forney twenty-fourth at 0-3, South Grand Prairie twenty-fifth at 2-1, and Denton Braswell twenty-sixth at 3-0.
In the 5A Division I category, DeSoto tops the rankings with a 2-2 record. Frisco Lone Star is second at 3-0, Lancaster third at 3-1, Denton Ryan fourth at 1-2, and Highland Park fifth at 1-3.
Melissa is sixth at 1-2, Richland seventh at 4-0, FW Arlington Heights eighth at 4-0, West Mesquite ninth at 3-1, McKinney North tenth at 3-0, Tyler High eleventh at 2-2, FW Brewer twelfth at 3-1, Cedar Hill thirteenth at 1-3, Naaman Forest fourteenth at 3-1, and Burleson Centennial fifteenth at 3-1.
The 5A Division II rankings are led by South Oak Cliff at 1-2.
Mansfield Timberview is second at 4-0, Argyle third at 3-1, Anna fourth at 4-0, Lovejoy fifth at 4-0, Celina sixth at 3-0, Colleyville Heritage seventh at 2-2, Frisco Panther Creek eighth at 3-1, Midlothian Heritage ninth at 1-3, Frisco Emerson tenth at 3-1, The Colony eleventh at 4-0, Prosper Richland twelfth at 3-1, Corsicana thirteenth at 4-0, Frisco fourteenth at 2-1, and Mesquite Poteet fifteenth at 2-1.
