Harmony Bank marked the first anniversary of its branch in the Cedars neighborhood with a gathering that emphasized long-term community ties. The event took place at the bank’s facility located at 1900 S. Ervay Street, bringing together clients, local leaders, and residents to discuss the institution's role in southern Dallas.
During the celebration, Harmony Bank CEO William E. Lowe addressed the growing attention financial institutions are paying to areas south of Interstate 30. He noted that while recent news has focused on new investments in these neighborhoods, his bank has maintained a presence there for nearly a decade.
Lowe stated, “I saw a news article the other day about banks investing below 30… well, we’ve BEEN down here for eight years. Doing the work of investing in the community.”
The evening also featured remarks from Marino Orlandi, the bank’s vice president, who discussed the professional relationships formed with clients and local partners over the past year. To demonstrate that commitment financially, Harmony Bank presented a $1,500 donation to Cornerstone Church, a longstanding client.
Pastor Chris, representing the church, spoke about the value of accessible banking services. He contrasted Harmony Bank’s approach with the trend toward automated customer support, praising the ability to speak directly with staff members who can verify transactions or resolve issues promptly.
