North Texas Giving Day is currently active and will conclude on Thursday, September 17. The annual fundraising initiative, organized by Communities Foundation of Texas, links donors with more than 25 cause areas across 20 North Texas counties. According to the foundation, every dollar donated goes directly to participating nonprofit organizations.
A free event titled Downtown Dallas Day of Giving is scheduled for Monday, September 14, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Pegasus Plaza, located at 1500 Main St. The gathering aims to provide downtown workers and visitors with an opportunity to meet representatives from local nonprofits and learn about their services during the workday.
During the Monday event, Communities Foundation of Texas will match the first $1,000 of each eligible online donation until a $25,000 matching pool is exhausted. Participating organizations were selected by Downtown Dallas, Inc. from those registered for North Texas Giving Day 2026. Donors can identify eligible groups on the event page.
Separate matching opportunities are available for specific charities. North Peak Capital has provided a $210,000 challenge match for Children’s Health Foundation’s 2026 campaign, allowing supporters to double their contributions. The foundation highlighted two young patients, Emma and Octavia, to illustrate the impact of its care programs.
Catholic Charities Dallas is promoting its "The Next Chapter" campaign, which shares stories from individuals receiving assistance with hunger, housing, and senior services. The organization featured Cynthia Ross, who has received grocery support through the Jan Pruitt Community Pantry for more than seven years while caring for her family.
