SusieCakes, a bakery specializing in desserts made from scratch, will open a new location in Dallas' West Village neighborhood on October 3. The store is situated at 3699 McKinney Ave., Suite 318, within the pedestrian-oriented shopping center in Uptown Dallas. This expansion marks the brand's seventh location in Texas and its fourth in the DFW Metroplex.
The new bakery will serve the company's full menu of classic treats, including cakes, cupcakes, and cookies. Founder Susie Sarich established the business in 2006 using her grandmothers' handwritten recipe cards. The brand focuses on simple ingredients and timeless dessert classics, with signature items such as the Vanilla Celebration Cake, Southern Red Velvet, and Old-Fashioned Chocolate layer cakes.
The menu also includes rotating seasonal desserts and nostalgic baked goods like snickerdoodles and flourless peanut butter cookies.
Sarich, who serves as the company's CEO, stated that the new location represents a significant step in the brand's growth in Dallas. "Opening in West Village is a wonderful next step as we continue to grow SusieCakes in Dallas," Sarich said.
She noted that as a local resident, she has observed the community's positive reception of the bakery and expressed anticipation for participating in local celebrations.
