Baylor will be without quarterback DJ Lagway for its game against Louisiana Tech on Saturday, with Nate Bennett set to make his second consecutive start. ESPN.com reported the change after Lagway was listed as doubtful because of an ankle injury.
Lagway, who transferred to Baylor from Florida, was injured in the Bears’ season-opening loss to Auburn. He also did not play in Baylor’s game against Prairie View A&M last week.
Bennett passed for 314 yards and contributed to four touchdowns in that game, but he also threw two interceptions.
Louisiana Tech will also be using a backup quarterback. Starter Blake Baker is out with a hand injury, and Trey Kukuk is scheduled to start for the Bulldogs.
