The Dallas Cowboys are dealing with multiple defensive injuries after the first three games of the 2026 regular season, with several players expected to miss time following the loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Rio.
Jonathan Bullard is projected to be out for three to five weeks because of a calf injury, owner and general manager Jerry Jones told 105.3 The Fan. Bullard also missed most of training camp because of an injury.
Safety Jalen Thompson will be unavailable for at least four weeks with a hamstring injury. The Cowboys could place him on injured reserve with a designation to return, which would put him in the same status as fellow safety P.J. Locke. Locke was moved to injured reserve after the team lost cornerback Cobie Durant to a hamstring injury the previous week.
Shavon Revel received the most favorable update among the players hurt against Baltimore. Coach Brian Schottenheimer said Revel has issues involving a knee and ankle, but not the knee he injured in college, and is expected to resume practice during the week. Revel could have a chance to play when Dallas visits the Houston Texans in Week 4.
He was seen walking with a slight limp after the game, but did not require crutches or another aid.
The Cowboys are also monitoring Malik Hooker, DeMarvion Overshown and Durant. Hooker suffered a fractured forearm in the season opener and may need additional time before returning to uniform. Overshown, who has missed the past two games with a hamstring injury, could return to practice this week. Durant is not expected to travel to South Texas while continuing his rehabilitation.
