SMU will host Clemson, NC State, Georgia Tech and Stanford in 2027 as part of the Mustangs’ ACC football schedule. The team will open the season against Oklahoma at AT&T Stadium.
SMU’s five conference road games are scheduled for Cal, Virginia, Boston College, Pittsburgh and Duke. The nine-game ACC schedule will be the second under the conference’s current scheduling format.
The ACC announced that game dates and the full 2027 football schedule are expected in late January. The scheduling format includes nine league games and at least 10 contests each season against Power Four opponents.
Under head coach Rhett Lashlee, SMU has a 15-2 record in ACC play and has not lost a conference game at Gerald J. Ford Stadium. The Mustangs’ conference record is the best among ACC programs during that span. The team is scheduled to travel to Louisville this week for a game against No. 23 Louisville.
