A Dominant Home Performance

A crowd of 108,657 witnessed a decisive victory on Saturday, October 3, 2026, as the Texas A&M Aggies defeated the visiting Arkansas Razorbacks 34-7 at Kyle Field in College Station. The Aggies established control early, outscoring the Razorbacks 14-7 in the first quarter and never trailing for the remainder of the contest. This win improved Texas A&M’s record to 3-2, while Arkansas dropped to 2-3.

The margin of victory was stark, with the home team outgaining the visitors in almost every phase of the offensive attack, limiting the Razorbacks to a single scoring drive that did not come until the opening period.

First Quarter Surge

The game’s momentum shifted immediately in favor of the Aggies. Carsyn Baker broke the deadlock with a two-yard run for a 7-0 lead, but Texas A&M responded swiftly. KJ Edwards struck back with a 20-yard touchdown run, tying the game at 7-7.

Arkansas regained the lead shortly after when Chris Marshall connected with KJ Jackson on a 26-yard pass, making it 14-7 in favor of the Razorbacks. However, the Aggies closed out the first quarter with a powerful sequence. Marcel Reed capped the period with a one-yard rushing touchdown, followed by a 57-yard field goal from David Olano.

This 10-point second-quarter burst gave Texas A&M a 21-7 lead heading into halftime, a deficit Arkansas was unable to overcome.

Stat Lines and Second Half

The Aggies’ offense was balanced and efficient. Marcel Reed led the passing attack, completing 13 of 19 passes for 170 yards. On the ground, KJ Edwards was a menace, rushing for 66 yards on 11 carries and scoring two touchdowns.

Kiotti Armstrong added a 54-yard reception, providing a spark in the passing game. David Olano was perfect from the line, converting both field goal attempts from 57 and 50 yards. In the third quarter, Edwards extended the lead with a three-yard rushing touchdown, pushing the score to 31-7.

The Aggies sealed the result with another field goal in the fourth quarter.

Arkansas Struggles

The Razorbacks faced significant hurdles on the field. KJ Jackson completed 13 of 25 passes for 111 yards, throwing one touchdown pass and one interception. Sutton Smith led the rushing effort with 41 yards on six carries.

Chris Marshall was the primary target, catching seven passes for 76 yards and a touchdown. Despite these efforts, the defensive line and secondary of Texas A&M stifled the Arkansas offense, allowing them to score only in the first quarter. The final score of 34-7 reflected a comprehensive team effort by the Aggies in front of a packed house at Kyle Field.
