Dallas travelers planning a Southwest trip from Love Field can now start their flight search in ChatGPT. The airline launched its new plugin Oct. 6, adding another way to explore destinations and compare travel dates before making a reservation.

According to Southwest’s help guide, travelers can describe where they want to go and roughly when, then review available flights and fares. The tool also shows the airline’s four fare products: Basic, Choice, Choice Preferred and Choice Extra.

The reservation is completed on Southwest.com. That is where travelers sign in or check out as guests, make their payment and receive confirmation. Existing reservations and Rapid Rewards accounts are also managed through Southwest’s website or app.

For a trip from Dallas, specify Love Field, airport code DAL, when choosing the origin. Southwest lists the airport in its service network.

Southwest cautions that AI answers can contain mistakes and that prices and schedules may change after a search. Check the final itinerary and price on the airline’s site; its information at booking controls if the two displays differ.
