DART police invite riders to National Night Out near Illinois Station Tuesday

The public gathering is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 6 at DART police headquarters, with officers, safety information, food and music.

DART riders and neighbors can meet the agency’s police and fare-enforcement staff Tuesday, Oct. 6, during a National Night Out gathering in Dallas.

The event runs from 6 to 8 p.m. in the parking lot of DART police headquarters, 2111 South Corinth Street Road. DART identifies the location with Illinois Station on the Blue Line, giving rail riders a transit landmark for the event.

The agency’s Sept. 29 announcement lists food, beverages and music, along with crime-prevention information and health-and-wellness literature. The public is invited to talk with officers and staff and meet other residents.
