18-wheeler crash on Central Expressway leaves one dead, one critical

Dallas police are investigating a multi-vehicle collision involving an 18-wheeler that resulted in one fatality and another person being hospitalized in critical condition.

A driver was killed and a second driver was hospitalized in critical condition Monday after a collision on North Central Expressway that involved multiple vehicles, including an 18-wheeler, police said.

Dallas police were called shortly before 12:30 p.m. to Central Expressway at Loop 635.

One driver was pronounced dead where the crash happened. The other was taken to a hospital and was listed in critical condition, according to police.

Investigators have not released the number of vehicles in the crash or its cause. The Dallas Police Department is continuing to investigate.
