Six injured in South Barry Avenue shooting, Dallas police say

Dallas police said six people were wounded in a shooting on South Barry Avenue early Sunday, and none of the injuries were considered life-threatening.

Six people were wounded in a shooting early Sunday, Oct. 4, on South Barry Avenue in Dallas, police said.

Officers were called to the 1400 block of South Barry Avenue at about 3:10 a.m., according to a Dallas Police Department statement. Police said their preliminary investigation found that several people had been struck by gunfire at the location.

Dallas Fire-Rescue took at least three of the wounded to a hospital, and the others got to a hospital on their own, bringing the total to six, according to police. None of the injuries were considered life-threatening at the time of the statement.

Police described it as an active scene with limited information available. The investigation continues under case number 146047-2026.
