Parking, pickups and drop-offs at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport now cost more. New rates took effect Oct. 1 across several of the airport's parking options, Spectrum News reported.

Terminal parking went up $5 a day for drivers paying with a TollTag, to $37, and $8 a day for those paying by credit card, to $40.

Airport officials pointed to inflation and the rising cost of materials and labor, and also cited big projects underway on airport roads, new bridges and new terminal exits. The previous increase came in 2024.

The new rates

TollTag rate first, credit card rate second:

  • Terminal: $37 / $40 a day
  • Express covered: $23 / $25 a day
  • Express uncovered: $20 / $22 a day
  • Remote: $14 / $16 a day
  • Drop-off, 8 to 30 minutes: $1 / $3
  • Meeter/Greeter, 30 to 60 minutes: $3 / $5
  • Meeter/Greeter, 1 to 2 hours: $5 / $7
  • Passing through on International Parkway: $12 / $15

Drivers feel it

Todd Engles, a rideshare driver who goes to the airport a couple of times a week, told Spectrum News the higher prices come out of his own pocket. "Because it using a credit card, it's actually tripled the price," he said, adding that a short stop that used to cost a dollar can now run several dollars, and that he has paid as much as $9.

Travelers can save by reserving parking online before they arrive, which can cut the price in half, according to the report.
