Ryan Flournoy and the Dallas Cowboys have reached an agreement on a one-year contract extension that is expected to keep the wide receiver with the team through the 2027 season. The deal comes before Dallas opens its regular season against the New York Giants.
Flournoy was selected by the Cowboys in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Dallas placed him on waivers during its initial roster reductions in 2025, but he cleared waivers and returned to the organization’s practice squad under a new contract.
Because that agreement was separate from his original four-year rookie contract, Flournoy was positioned to become a restricted free agent in 2027. The extension removes that pending free-agency situation and gives him another season with the Cowboys.
The terms were reported as one year and $6 million, although the source said the contract was expected to be signed later this week. The agreement also gives Flournoy the opportunity to continue developing after his 2025 season while allowing Dallas additional time to consider a longer-term deal.
