TCU expects Jordan Dwyer to be available when it opens Big 12 play against UCF on Sept. 26. The wide receiver has missed the Horned Frogs’ first three games of the 2026 season because of a foot injury.
Coach Sonny Dykes provided the update following TCU’s 31-7 victory over Arkansas State, saying Dwyer is expected to play in the upcoming game and that his return would help the team. TCU enters conference play with a 2-1 record, although Dwyer’s status for the UCF matchup remains unconfirmed beyond the coach’s comments.
Dwyer transferred to TCU from Idaho and was among the team’s top offensive contributors in 2025. He started all 12 regular-season games, recording 54 receptions for 730 yards and seven touchdowns. His TCU debut against North Carolina included nine catches, 136 yards and one touchdown.
With Dwyer sidelined, Ed Small has taken on a larger role among the receivers, while tight end Kari Ashley contributed against Arkansas State. Their performances have given quarterback Jaden Craig multiple targets during the season’s opening games.
