Jake Hummel is headed to injured reserve after a groin injury sustained in the Texans’ Week 1 loss to the Bills. Houston made the roster move Saturday, and Hummel will be unavailable for at least four games before he can be considered for a return to the active roster.
Hummel has not practiced since being injured. Jake Hansen is expected to continue starting at linebacker with Azeez Al-Shaair and Aiden Fisher while Hummel is out.
