Dallas police and the U.S. Marshals Service said Tuesday that a joint effort aimed at repeat violent offenders has led to 102 arrests in recent months, FOX 4 reported.
Of those arrests, 72 were on felony charges. Officers and marshals also served 71 warrants, 44 of them for felonies, according to the departments' figures.
The effort is called Operation 10/90. Its name refers to the idea that about 10% of people make life dangerous for the other 90%, and it focuses on violent offenders considered likely to commit new crimes. Dallas police say the operation has produced more than 800 arrests since 2025.
The Dallas Morning News described the latest push as centered on southern Dallas, and the Marshals cited work with the Dallas Police Department's South Central patrol division.
How targets were picked
Police Sgt. Sheldon Smith said the department's crime analysis unit identified when and where crimes were happening, and teams went to those areas to serve outstanding warrants.
