Dallas police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Maple Springs Blvd. near Parkland Hospital. The incident was reported just after 4 a.m. on Sept. 23.
According to a release from the Dallas Police Department, officers responded to the scene and discovered a victim who had been shot. The individual was transported to a hospital but later died from their injuries.
Police stated that an unknown suspect fled the area before law enforcement arrived. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
Authorities have asked anyone with information about the shooting to contact the Dallas Police Department and request Detective Thayer.
