Dallas police confirmed on Wednesday night that Daryl "Petie" Foreman, a 61-year-old man with autism, has been located safe. He had been missing for nearly two weeks prior to his discovery.
Officials stated that Foreman was found sitting on a bench at a train station in the vicinity of UT Southwestern. According to his sister, Sonia Foreman, officers were conducting a routine security check when they noticed him. They ran his name through a database, which identified him as a missing person.
Following the identification, the Dallas Police Department's missing persons unit was alerted. UT Southwestern Police were also notified. Foreman was subsequently reunited with his family at the UT Southwestern campus.
The search for Foreman began after he became separated from his two sisters, Cathy Lewis and Sonia Foreman, during a visit to Dallas. The siblings had traveled from Arkansas to attend Comic Con at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center. Lewis recalled that while she was retrieving their event badges, Foreman stepped away to use the restroom.
